Kayu Village Resort – Pererenan, Bali
Located less than five-minutes walk from Pererenan Beach, Kayu Village’s enviable location provides guests with the ‘best of both worlds’. Our resort is set back from Pererenan’s main beach road, amongst lush private gardens, yet within easy walking distance to some of Canggu’s best cafes, restaurants and shops. Our 12 traditional-style wooden bungalows have been lovingly refurbished with luxurious natural finishings and furniture, whilst maintaining a cosy and relaxing simplicity.
I had a wonderful back massage there. It was very good and helping with my neck tension. The staff is very friendly.
It's absolutely wonderful, well worth spending a few days there. Both the bungalows and the surroundings are marvelous. Complete privacy, enormous bamboo groves, and plants with spectacular colors covering the entrance to your bungalow. The staff is charming and attentive to every last detail. Definitely a fantastic experience. Definitely worth repeating.
One of the days the workers dont fumigate for the insects and our wc was plenty of ants and others. It was terrible. The breakfast Very Good
Beautiful property in a great location near the beach and shops, with very kind and accommodating staff. However, the cabin was extremely open to the outdoors, with a large opening in the bathroom and visible gaps between the wooden wall planks. On our last night, we found several huge cockroaches inside, including one on the nightstand and another flying from the ceiling, and we did not sleep. Breakfast was basic but appreciated. Lovely people and location, but I personally would not stay again because of how exposed the room was to insects and other critters.
Overall, a very satisfying stay. I especially recommend it for family trips 🤍- All rooms are detached units, so the atmosphere is great and there is absolutely no noise between rooms. There are chairs and tables outside the rooms, making it a nice place to relax.- The Family Room has two single beds on the upper level and one queen-size bed on the first floor. The room is very spacious.- There are power outlets at every bed. The mattress is just the right firmness and is super comfortable.- Room slippers, bathrobes, and bottled water are provided in the room.- They clean every day, provide plenty of towels, and the cleanliness is excellent.- Since there aren't many rooms, the swimming pool is very uncrowded.- The breakfast selection isn't extensive. Egg dishes, bread, fruit, cereal, and yogurt are provided. The banana bread and yogurt are delicious.- The bathroom ceiling is slightly exposed to the outdoors, but I didn't see a single mosquito. I heard that trees that repel mosquitoes are planted around the accommodation. During my stay, the only bugs I saw in the room were two ants in the bathroom.- The staff are super friendly and their WhatsApp responses are super fast !! - Great location. Eco Beach (La Brisa) and Pererinan Beach are a 10-15 minute walk away, and there are plenty of massage parlors, great restaurants, cafes, and bars within walking distance.- The rooms are a bit on the darker side, but it's fine once you get used to it, and it actually adds to the mood.100% willing to visit again. Highly recommended for family trips 🤍
It was an accommodation where we could truly experience Bali.The kids loved the duplex layout, and the room was pleasant. All the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was decent.The jungle-themed accommodation was great for relaxing, but dealing with ants and bugs is unavoidable.Aside from that, we were satisfied with everything else and had a relaxing stay.
Love the location just off the main street in Pererenan behind the amazing Shelter Restaurant. Lovely and peaceful hotel. Love the traditional wooden houses. We have the house with a second sleeping area on a Mezzanine for kids. Plenty of space, lovely bathroom. Simple buffet breakfast and eggs cooked to order. Lovely fruit and pastries. Very comfortable beds. Good WiFi. Plenty of space for luggage and clothes. Really happy with this traditional style hotel.
The location is great as it is close to the sea, the breakfast is simple and nice, and the staff are friendly. However, as it is an accommodation surrounded by nature, there are mosquitoes and a few other bugs. I commend the service of lighting mosquito coils in front of the room every day, as well as the thoughtfulness of providing mosquito repellent and earplugs.
In our opinion, the best villa to rent. Strategic location, close to everything you want. Excellent service. And truly beautiful rooms.
Simply fantastic! We couldn't have wished for a better stay. The location was fantastic – quiet yet close to everything. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was simply top-notch. The breakfast was an absolute delight: fresh croissants, butter, toast, eggs, cereal, plus coffee and a variety of juices – perfect for a great start to the day. The staff was warm and incredibly helpful; we immediately felt welcome. The pool was wonderful for relaxing, and there was even scooter parking available. Thank you so much for letting us stay here – we will definitely be back!
We loved our stay in Kayu Village. It was a perfect, calm, beautiful place to arrive for the first part of our trip to Bali. The room was lovely! And the staff were fantastic. Breakfast was excellent every day and they had the best quality coffee, yoghurt and croissants as well as other things available.Only one comment would be the inside/outside bathroom which just had a classic ‘hot and humid country smell’. It wasn’t the freshest smell, however our room was perfectly clean and smelled fine. We would definitely come back.
The location is great and the staff are friendly! The room itself is nice and private (though it's a bit dark!). A shower is a must!
Perhaps because I'd already experienced many other hotels in Bali, the small, dark room felt a bit stuffy. I couldn't even open the door for fear of bugs coming in. The bathroom was spacious and nice, but the top wasn't completely sealed, so some mosquitoes came in. Overall, it was clean. If you want some quiet solitude, it's fine.
Really beautiful place. Truly a hidden gem. We enjoyed our time really much. Canggu has come a little bit crowdy tho, but in Kayu Village you won’t really notice this and can come to peace. Thanks for the great few days.
The room is very cute and cozy, but there are quite a lot of insects like mosquitos and spiders in the bathroom. But staff were very helpful, and especially Komang was super kind and friendly !

It was a wonderful experience! The rooms are stunning, and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. Ida and Coma were especially helpful, always going above and beyond to assist us. Their kindness made our stay even more enjoyable.
A very good stay experience. We stayed for two nights. It was very quiet at night and we were woken up by birds every morning.There will also be electric mosquito coils in the room, so you will not be disturbed by mosquitoes and bugs.The guy at the front desk is also very interested in Chinese culture. He has taught himself Chinese and can communicate fluently and easily. He is very good.All in all, it is highly recommended
It’s hard to think of a better introduction to being in Bali than staying here in these beautiful traditional rooms with everything you would need whilst being looked after by the most amazing team. Breakfast is delightful and the location is perfect.Big shoutout to Komang who is a shining light every time he sees us. A little paradise !The hotel is so cute, clean and beautiful.The staff are very attentive to their guests' needs.The pool is magnificent.What's more, the location is perfect: you'll find restaurants, stores, etc. right next door.I stayed there during the Christmas period, and on Christmas Eve morning, the entire staff prepared a special Christmas breakfast for us, and even gave us little presents ! They're so adorable.Finally, during my 2-month stay here in Bali, I had one of my best encounters in Kayu village: KOMANG !! So smiling and caring.I recommend it 100% and would come back without hesitation.Thanks for everything.
We had a beautiful stay at Kayu Village! Everything was perfect!! The garden is amazing and the plants give a lot of privacy to your room. The staff is very polite! The place is quiet and there is a very nice and clean pool.. if you need you can rent a scooter directly here.. wifi connection is great .. it is very close to a lot of restaurants and to the beach. Simply the perfect place to stay in Canggu. Thank you to all the staff !! We hope to be back soon. 🙂
